We don't know what we'd do without Sally and Samson. Komondors are intelligent, hard-working, and dedicated to the family and their herd. Prairie Hollow Farm is located in a secluded part of northern Douglas County Missouri, and we have our fair share of predators including bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, and the occasional bear. We can rest assured that our herd is safe day and night with our Komondors on patrol. We are looking forward to when Samson and Sally have puppies because we want to add a few more Komondors to our farm.
WE HAVE ONE MALE KOMONDOR PUPPY FOR SALE FROM SALLY AND SAM'S LITTER THEY HAD IN JANUARY. HIS NAME IS COOPER, AND HE IS 6 MONTHS OLD. WE SOLD ALL OF HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, BUT WE WERE HOLDING COOPER FOR SOME PEOPLE WHO ENDED UP NOT BUYING HIM. HE WAS ACTUALLY THE PICK OF THE LITTER AND IS AN EXCELLENT DOG. COOPER IS CURRENT ON ALL SHOTS AND IS FOR SALE FOR $400. CONTACT US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
Sally and Sam have wonderful personalities. Komondors are sensitive and can be well-socialized. Don't believe those who might tell you otherwise and who claim you shouldn't pay much attention to a working dog. We have found that we can have a great relationship with our Komondors as pets but still expect high performance in the field. As a friend of mine once said, "As big as they are, you want them to love you, not look at you as a threat if you are having to hold a goat down to treat it." Great words of advice. The important thing is that you don't confuse the dogs: Our Komondors know their place is in the barnyard and pasture. We just happen to give them lots of attention when we are in the barnyard and pasture with them!
